How does Vivolve handle on-line safety?
Online safety is our #1 priority. Unlike other websites, we use a closed
communications system, so there's no SPAM, viruses or other on-line threats.
User data is not sold or shared with any recruiter or data subscribers until
they are fully vetted (verfied) first. Also, users are only contacted by
recruiters and data subscribers based upon their preferences and expressed
interests. The user can reject messages at any time. For added security,
parents can be copied on all communications
Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
The Children's Online Personal Privacy Act (COPPA) is a United States
federal law that applies to the on-line collection of personal
information from children under the age of thirteen (13). It states that
on-line websites cannot legally collect data from individuals under the
age of thirteen (13).
In addition, Vivolve strongly encourages parents and guardians to
spend time on-line with their children to participate in and monitor
their online activity. All data collection activity on the Vivolve
website is done in strict compliance with applicable U.S. laws.
Without exception, parents can obtain a copy of, correct or update
the personal information their child provides to Vivolve. Parents can
instruct us to no longer contact the child and to remove their child's
information via e-mail and all records will be removed immediately.
